Shipping and Delivery Policy
At Brown's Pharmacy, we understand that when it comes to health, every minute counts. Our 24/7 delivery network is designed to get your medication to your doorstep safely, discreetly, and with pharmaceutical integrity.
1. Delivery Zones & Timelines
We provide tiered delivery services based on your location and urgency:
- Nairobi Express (Priority): Delivery within 30 minutes to 3 hours for orders placed within Nairobi County (Westlands, Donholm, Kilimani, Karen, CBD, etc.).
- Nairobi Metropolitan: Delivery within 4-6 hours for areas including Syokimau, Ngong, Ruiru, and Kikuyu.
- Upcountry (Rest of Kenya): Delivery within 24-48 hours via our authorized secure courier partners (G4S/Fargo Courier).
2. Prescription Verification Requirement
Under Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations, our riders are legally prohibited from handing over "Prescription Only Medicine" (POM) unless:
- You have uploaded a valid digital prescription during checkout.
- The original physical prescription is presented to the rider for verification/collection upon arrival.
3. Specialized Cold-Chain Delivery
For temperature-sensitive medications (e.g., Insulin, Vaccines, certain Eye Drops), we utilize validated insulated thermal bags with gel ice packs. These items are prioritized for immediate dispatch to ensure the cold chain remains unbroken from our pharmacy to your refrigerator.
4. Delivery Rates
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on distance. We offer FREE delivery within Nairobi for orders exceeding KES 5,000. For orders below this amount, a standard fee starting from KES 200 applies.
5. Discreet Packaging & Privacy
Your medical privacy is paramount. All orders are packed in plain, tamper-proof, unbranded secondary packaging. The delivery rider and external observers will not be able to see the contents of your order.
6. Unsuccessful Delivery Attempts
Our riders will wait at the delivery location for a maximum of 10 minutes. If the customer is unreachable, the order will be returned to the pharmacy. A re-delivery fee will apply for the second attempt. Please ensure someone is available to receive and sign for the medication.
